Walking with the Wounded: Caring for Those Impacted by Trauma
Trauma is one of the most pressing issues of our day, touching lives in both obvious and hidden ways. Yet many of us feel unprepared to respond with both wisdom and compassion. What exactly is trauma? And how can we, as Christians, offer care that is biblically
faithful and truly empathetic?
Counselor and author Eliza Huie will share insights from her book Trauma Aware: A Christian’s Guide to Help and Care. Written to equip pastors, ministry leaders, and everyday helpers, this resource blends biblical foundations with clinical understanding to help the church better recognize and respond to trauma.
Trauma can cloud the mind, weigh down the body, and entangle the soul. In the face of such struggles, Eliza offers both clarity and encouragement—helping us demystify trauma and showing us how to walk alongside others with the hope of Christ.
